About the Author

Bernice Pinnock grew up in the Bronx, and when she got married, she moved to Brooklyn. While living in Brooklyn, she graduated from Hunter College with a history degree.  It was there that she became an avid reader of health. When she moved to Memphis, Tennessee, her ex-husband was diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. It was the love of helping him to get healthy that placed her on the path to finding a way to reverse his diagnosis. That was the time she started blending fruits and vegetables together. To her surprise, it tasted great, and he loved it too. Three months later, when her ex-husband went back to the doctor for a follow-up, his cholesterol level was much lower, and his blood pressure was normal. She was a witness to what her blended recipes can do, and that is why she wrote this book to help others.
